Custom work policies

Design

As each piece is made by hand, variations will occur between pieces. This includes variations in the setting styles and texture (especially with sand casting). Please specify any details you feel are essential.

The purchase of a custom design is only for the physical piece commissioned. Bonus prize retains all rights to the design and its reproduction. If you want the piece to be an exclusive non-reproduced custom piece a molding fee can be included in the quote at your request. This will mean all molds and layout patterns will be destroyed after purchase.

Return Policy

Custom projects will only be eligible for a return if a manufacturing defect is found.

CLIENT-PROVIDED STONES

There is a reasonable risk involved in removing stones from mountings and in resetting stones. By providing consent for bonus prize to reset a pre-existing gemstone, the customer is accepting this risk. Bonus prize is not liable for any stone damage due to stone flaws or existing stone cracks, chipping, flaws, or inclusions.

Size

As each piece is made to order, ordering a piece in the incorrect size without consultation does not qualify for a return. Rings with heat sensitive stones (most stones) are unable to be resized, as the heat can damage the stones. In the case of a size being incorrectly made after an order, bonus prize will resize or replace free of charge. Other resizing will cost $50 for either remaking or resizing.

Quality

All pieces will be stamped with the metal purity mark for example ‘375’ ‘925’ ‘18k’ and bonus prize personal makers mark to identify the piece being made by bonus prize unless there isn’t room to accommodate all the stamps. All items come with a polishing cloth.

Deposits

Deposits (minimum 50% of total cost of project) for custom projects are non refundable in the circumstance of change of mind. I invite discussion and questions throughout a project, although larger changes to a design cannot be made after the deposit has been made.

Projects can only start to be worked on once a deposit is made. It is 6-8 weeks from the payment of the deposit.

Part payments are accepted, and can be paid across four installments with consultation.

Import fees

Customers will be responsible for paying any import charges to their local government body. Bonus prize recommends researching import fees when considering the total of your order.
